Whiteblack

WHITEBLACK.
I am black,
But not really black,
My hands white and wide,
Why not indigo?
Half my feet white,
Half my feet blue,
My mind grim green,
My heart muddy maroon,
But,
My tongue forever black.

About this poem

The poem is about a person who is really confused of what he is, not specifically an African. I have used different colors to bring out different ideologies to reflect self and portray the confusion that exists within the speaker.
