War Cries
War Cries
A deafening darkness begins to fall,
And what follows next is hard to re-call,
As you begin to hear unbearable screaming like never before,
Jubilation is no longer, as you open your front door,
A sombermood energies,
For this will become future bitter documentaries,
Once a blissful and cheerful soul,
Torn down by hostility and bloodshed,
As you shout out " where are the worlds Arms control,"
Striked down by falling bombs and firing guns, from the start,
As it pierces into your aching heart,
You try to hold back the tears,
And analyse your deapest fears,
"Oh God what is happening," you cry,
As you try to understand cos there no time to say goodbye,
Mourning the dead becomes the new norm,
You no longer rejoice at the new born,
Destruction of ones homeland,
Feels like your sinking into a deep quicksand,
Widowed and orphaned with the dead never to return,
Peace and tranquility is what we wish for and deeply yearn.....
This is the Islamic conclusion
Islamic rules of war are complex,
They are there for our protection, so we don't become mere objects,
Do not kill women, children, the elderly and your religious leaders,
Islam states, do not copy your political grim reapers,
Do not hurt the disabled and the infirm,
Fear God, as to him is our final return,
Be merciful to those who surrender,
Cutting trees and harming animals is as illegal, as a violent offender,
God, wants us to show mercy and not to be transgressors,
He wants us to show compassion, and strive to be future successors,
Wars are fashioned by greedy rulers and dictators in their radical designs,
So why is Islam always blamed in the media headlines,
Salam derives from Islam to mean peace,
So let it be our future conversational piece,
Worship and listen to God who is our Lord and Master,
Show symphony and empathy and let's come together a lot faster,
And leave behind the devastating wars of disaster....
