Uneasy

How uneasy!
The sun etched upon his black skin, with shackles on his neck, and a lock on his lips.
This is history!
A mysterious history,
Left to wash along with the waves of the Seas.

How uneasy!
The soul of the deseased sits unrest
Under the freezing snow of Iceland
Waiting for justice to be said.

How uneasy!
The most beautiful maiden
now a mistress in another man's land
staged to entertain the greedy plights of her masters with nudity.

This is history, and these tragic tales are left to sail along the paths of running waters.

About this poem
