Suicide trying to find acceptances

Khayalethu 1990 (Soweto)

In my hour of anguish
find peace is buried beneath my tongue
this grave is unsound
I can smell my death,
the soil surrounding me speaks of how God rejects his children who
leave this world by suicide
so, we teleport questions to the stars, how can one disappear from
his creator unnoticed

maybe suicide stretches its neck to be noticed, hanging at its birth
place
heavy become the word of rest
as blood screams to a hold, it has no use here
body salt seasons the oculus turning it into teardrops entering hell
carrying all my burdens from this visited sphere
perhaps my brother is waiting on the other side with his fallen
angels
we the color of sin
the only direction familiar is downhill, even the dams of mercy failed to
baptize our bodies and teach us how, to kneel, to give thanks for
our existence
so, we commit murder to ourselves
that’s how we find ease
