Shut Down

Carol Lamb 1989 (Bago City)

Chaotic cosmos
Of giving up and fighting
I stand alone
On the road of despair.

The cold breeze blows
Slowly freezing my veins
The faint light died
In a blink of an eye.

My mind is haunted
Of pitfalls and what ifs
Inner being collapsing
No reboot can resolve.

My feet were nailed firmly
On a lifeless ground.
My soul wanted to escape
yet continued to be trapped by faith.

Barren. Wounded. Fragile.
My eyes shut, mind hustles.
How to live when you are dead
inside your messy head?
