PANDEMIC COVID-19

I wasn't there during the first world war
I wasn't there during the second world war
I wasn't there at the tribal civil war
I am the dust of apartheid
Here I am this year 2020

Witnessing the world health disaster
Witnessing the shutdown of all schools,churches, factories and taverns
Witnessing fear and hope all rolled in one

Today am self house arrested by corona virus
The police and soldier are the community wardens
Today am tortured by deaths caused by the pandemic covid19
Today it's first I fear what I don't see but I can see as it takes our Africans

Sadly so segregation act is called quarantine
Suppressed with a curfew act called self-isolation
Kind of a lockdown
Unerring so I see previous injustice system acts brought back by Corona
The return of sodoma and gomora

From North to South
From East to West
I curse the day corona virus arrived in Africa
It came all the way from China
Where it was called sars cov-2
To South Africa where is called sars novel cov-19

Corona virus you're pandemic
You came with entanglement
I wish you to die and never lives again
I thought I love nature and it's creatures
Oh no I thought wrong
Truly speaking I hate horseshoe bats
