Pain in My Eyes

She never knew a loving hand
Her tears fell silently at night
For punishment she had to stand
The depression and pain she had to fight

Eyes so blue like the midnight skies
A family that was barely there
Searching for truth through the lies
Her feelings she could never share

The darkness consumes her smiles
Pain and suffering over the years
With a blank expression she walked for miles
Her life, this world filled her with fears

A permanent frown, never to smile again
Look into her eyes, what do you see
Her life turned to crime and sin
A life of sadness and misery

You can see the pain in her eyes
The pain she shouldn’t have had to bear
A stranger once heard her cries
A stranger whom showed real care

She is me and I am her
Life of pain and misery no more
For he seen the pain in my eyes
