PAIN

The pain is crushing,
but we are still believing.
The wound is fresh,
but we are still hoping.
The past is hurting,
but we trust we are healing.
The criticism is heavy,
but we choose to keep going.
Our fears are showing,
but we keep pretending.
Our hearts are broken,
but we keep caring.
The battle is tougher,
but we keep fighting.
No one believes,
but we choose to keep trusting.
It feels like we are stagnated,
but we keep crawling.
No one accepts us,
but we keep smiling.
The jokes aren't funny,
but we keep laughing.
Our eyes are full of tears,
but we keep cheering.
Our dreams feel stagnant,
but we choose to keep working.

Oh Lord, hear us,
if only this once, arise.
It doesn't seem to get easy.

Oh Lord, arise,
The pain is weighing us down.
We aren't finding our path.
The tears seem to drop.
The people that believe in us
are doubting our potentials.
Harken to our prayers,
give heed to our plea.
