outstretched hands

I stand with my hands outstretched begging for hugs
in one day someone will feel compassion for me
and will come to hug me tightly
be a man will tell me
f*ck the dramas you won't get any prizes for this
the life's movie is so fucking short
and dramas never bring something good
just tears, pain and a few bored spectators
nibbling on some popcorn

if I wanted to embrace death
I would have solved it a long time ago with a handful of pills
it would have been so simple, I would have smoked a joint
to take courage and let myself be carried away by the wave
beyond in the world of the righteous
but the fear of the unknown has always really hindered me
no one returned from there
to tell me how cool it is
so I let the time to pull me

I would have sworn that I would have a happy destiny
so many kissed icons so many priest's hands
so many old women who knew my future
I was a good child
I said prayers in the morning at noon and in the evening
I was blind
I didn't see that God had always something to do

but I opened my eyes and i saw
reality stretch like a dung on the road
we all tread on it
and we pretend to be blind
the world is a drama
in every moment a person dies
and no one stops this carnage
worse is that we
the God's children
we would be willing at any time
to pull the trigger for various imaginary reasons
to kill each other
like brothers
milgram, zimbardo & co would tell you more about these
if it made sense
we don't come from monkeys, do we?
We are smart
when we were little kids we used to play with water pistols
now we play with rockets
to be or not to be

the world is a drama a drama a drama
I have no idea how I could
get out elegantly of this whole thing
I stand with my hands outstretched
a hug costs nothing
will come someone in the end

I would prefer a monkey
