Love Blind

He was a cassowary in her cascade of casuistry.

About this poem

This poem symbolises how love can imprison a man’s right to point out the red flags in his relationship as he fears loosing his lover. Metaphors: Cassowary - a flight less bird, which symbolises the man’s incapability to speak up to his lover’s mistakes and wrong doings. Cascade of casuistry- this symbolises the amount of wrong doings the “her” in this poem holds accountable for. “Cascade” meaning, a large mass of something hanging down, and, “casuistry” meaning, the use of clever but false reasoning.
