Was I wrong to have you as a friend?
Was I at fault to trust you with myself?
Must I not hide my emotions?
What I feel is beyond devotion!
Should I have not shared what was mine to keep?
Should I have not fallen in a pit not so deep?
Knowing a hole has already been dug,
Should I have kept myself at bay or
Should have covered it with a shrug?

What must I do to have a bond with you?
I stand alone in this crooked aisle.
What must I do to condemn my actions?

What must I do to have your trust?
For you are one to cherish, one too bold,
