Inner Child

The inner child suffers now,
After years of staying inside,
Its suffocated,
But it can’t just come outside.
How can it?
When it was never allowed to.

After years of pretending
To be a big strong adult
The child is tired now.
It wants to cry its heart out,
But somewhere in a corner,
Away from the world's eyes.
Because its eyes are trained to not cry in front of others.

Always acted like it never wanted anything,
But see its eyes now.
They want so many things,
But is so hesitant to say anything.

I have seen you lost child,
I have seen you struggling.
But nw you have to come out,
Otherwise you will soon stop trying
And I will die.

Come out inner child,
We will change.
