Full Metal

Metal on my frame
iron in my heart
body hard
like a rusty mechanical part

I lift myself from the dust
mentally and physically I must.
Half man half machine
apparition from a sci-fi scene.

Although the rockets and advanced
armour on my arms are nice
love eludes me for no
lady will look at me twice

Marching through the marketplace
i was pelted with eggs
I could not flee because of the heavy
steel alloy in my legs

but I escaped and hid
Inside a nearby pavilion
i will still defend these people
who label me a villain.

About this poem

The poem is about physical and mental isolation from others and the toll it takes on an individual.
