Feminism

Sandhya 2005 (Uttar Pradesh)

Lots of petals and sum of pleadings!!
Bit of vervain and lots of gleamings
Your beautiful softness, the defiant "womenhood"
Why are always defined like it?

You lowered your head with joint hand
and wanted to convey you can walk, sit, shine and stand?
You shout about empowerment and cry for opportunity!!
Why don't you use those voices when they want win over your beauty
It's not just "Equalism", it's about owning an identity

You want a prince forgetting the ruling queen!!
They set boundaries, you are asking for rights without crossing it
If you call it "Feminism" , women you are on wrong bridge...
being bold is not everything related to it!!

It's okay to be flower of their fairytale
as long as you are not forced to be pale!!
So wake up, show up and fly up
being far away of definitions...
it's all about understanding the true meaning of "selfism"
