Evening Reflections

Oh The golden rays penetrating
The spot light of god on me
which showcase the best in me
The dancing gulmohar tree
in the music of soft evening breeze
All are inviting me
All are inviting me

Oh The starring mountains my soulmate
My childhood partner
You never changed
You never judged
Always been my side
At the time of silence
And at the time of joy
All are inviting me
All are inviting me

A pleasant dose of nostalgia
is hovering above my head
And my heart is filled with emotions
which i have already experienced in the past
Reliving that beautiful moments are such a pleasure
All of these are inviting me
All of these are inviting me

The shadows are about to leave
As the darkness is going to take over
Taking the last few glimpses of myself in it
A quick conversation is about to start
I asked " Have i changed over the years"
Shadows responded' You are living the living the life which others wanted you to live, come with me leaving the world of expectations behind".
I wish i could join them
dissolve in the darkness
evaporate in the loneliness
And live a life which i want
Until a new day arrives..........

About this poem

I wrote this poem as I encountered countless nostalgic moments as I was watching sunset and the calmness has also led to some introspection about my life
