Devil
From Heart, Soul, and Mind
You made me.
Love, Peace, and goodness
assigned for the one above.
For me Hate, Chaos, and who knows what?
You imprisoned yourself in yourself,
and gave the keys to me.
Well, your acts are peculiar,
For you are the creator of creators.
For good, Heaven and Hell for you know who.
On a boat to Fantasy land,
You all have set sail.
I am a fan of your work,
But why drag me through it?
Accept who you are and leave me alone,
So I may take a break.
For your guilt is your own,
I merely watch over,
As you go through it.
But now you blame me,
Look into yourself and see,
The bitter truth behind the veil.
Now you will know.
You created me to get you back,
as this world is Hell and Heaven.
Find your place in it before too long.
I am not Evil but find true evil and
correct it. That is me.
Perfection isn’t me,
so I and you are the same.
Stop calling me Evil,
I am Devil.
About this poem
We all know who Devil is. But has anyone thought about what he thinks about us? Does anyone know why or how there is a Devil? This poem is my view of the Devil. If you are a believer in man-made gods, you may find this offensive, but I hope as poets we all believe in the joint creator of the universe and nature which is unknown and works in mysterious ways.
