Daddy's Little Girl

Daddy's Little Girl

The moment she was born, he had a glimmer in his eye, the first time she made a sound his hart she found. The first daddy, she says, wrapped around her finger he will be. The batting of her eyes, his hart she will see. If she were to ask, the world she would receive, the puppy dog eyes and the daddy please will melt him to his knees. As she grows, he still won't let go. She finds another, but daddy is still there for her struggles. She gives her hart to another, but still hold's daddy like no other. The pride and joy watching her go, for the tears he sheds, she now knows. That forever she will be DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL.

Utterly beautiful poetry here, Cam. This one had my eyes welling up. Just a side note - My brother lost a 6-month old son approximately 28 years ago. His name was Cameron. This poem, coupled with your name, made this a pretty emotional read. Thank you for sharing your words and your work.

This poem reminds me of this song. Watch till the end. -

Dear me, what a mess. Incorrect spelling of a one-syllable word? Grammar from hell. No meter, very little rhyme, mundane communication skills, no style or originality. NOT poetry, just very bad prose.
