do you care for my silence?

Alinafe Wilson 2001 (Livingstone)

Do you care for my silence?

Or do you just wait to see the crows gather on the roof of my insanity?

Does it amuse you?

For what it is worth, I do not feel the pain as the talons of death’s messengers dig into the core of my cerebrum.

Neither do I flinch when I spot the shadow of his sharp scythe.

Nonchalant does not begin to describe this.

About this poem

It describes the ignorance and negligence towards understanding mental health and spirituality.
