Times Passes
Catherine Saunders 1959 (Virginia)
Time passes , memories drift away
thoughts recollections of a time when we use to play
Oh what I would give for just a moment to relive a hug as you kissed my cheek
My heart aches for you
My soul cries for you
My love never dies for you
On bending knees I scream at the sky
Lord, forgive me the wrong I've done
Dear God please give me back my son
About this poem
I wrote this poem one day while it was raining and the sun was shining . I was missing my son terribly He had been taken from me. The sky looked as if there were steps leading to heaven. As i sat in the back of a friends car I called home at the time . I cried so much and wrote this .Only later did I find out he had taken his own life
