Broken Promises

Once blinded in love, living a lie.
A half hearted "yes" to growing old together.
Hearts broken, nothing left. It's done, it's over. Left alone to cry.
Time has been kind. Healed me, already forgotten her.

I have her to thank for - for letting me move on.
The broken promises,
Had enough of the lies and all of her moans.
Walls up, distance grew seperated by our routes and provinces.

I don't think she has forgotten
Let her be, sipping on her wine with her headphones in.
Marking in her diary, remembering all the days that were rotten.
I have moved on, all her memories long lost in the bin.
