Independence Day

India is shining,
Over it's glory,

India is shining,
Over its achievements,
Over the many decades,
Through the sacrifices of many,
That bought us freedom.

Let's take a pledge,
That no matter,
Whatever the race,
Whatever the religion,
Whatever the culture,

We will respect our citizens,
In the principle of unity in diversity.

As the saying goes,
Divided we fall,
United we win,
Let's make India and ourselves,
Proud citizens full of joy and happiness,
To fulfill the dreams of our freedom fighters,
Let's make India a heaven on earth,
With peaceful coexistance and harmony.
