Mons Dandenong

Heading home to the Gully,
Going home, so I will hurry.
Inward bound my ticket, forgot to validate,
At least I won’t be late for my date.
Texting messages to and fro,
Keeping each other in the know.

Meet me at the station she will,
There’s much to be said for this free will.
Driving up the Dandenong Mountain,
Through the clouds drizzle and rain.
Outlook from scenic mountaintop,
Fairy lights glimmer through without stop.
Wish I do, wish I might
Together with partner at scenic site.
