Taking Time

Slim pretty young thing
How long until you’ll wear my ring?
I don’t want to rush & do the wrong thing
But bide my time until I hear bells ring.

Ringing out for you and me
On that day hand fasted we’ll be
But I am prepared to wait
Because I know it’s together, our fate.
So not rushing in where angels fear to tread,
Biding my time until we are wed.
