Successful Selling

So successful has the selling,
Of fear done to choose.
Leaving many feeling threatened,
By enemies chosen,
To continue a doing of business with.
And exchanging products to market them.
Both declared enemies and accusers use.

In the malls everywhere,
Shoppers could care less.
Who has the best bargains.
On what they select.
Or the color of one's skin.
That created to make,
What they look good in when dressed.
Or the bone China displayed.
Picked to serve their meals upon,
Whenever in their homes...
They wish to impress someone invited.

More brag about,
Where they had vacationed.
On some distant foreign shore.
To bring back items purchased.
And the hospitality they adored to miss.
Yet once back in their own environment,
They are reminded of fear and threats.
With weapons they have picked to select.
Collected to defend themselves and protect,
From those they have been made to believe...
To be of ethic diversity.
And native citizens born and raised,
On their on land to then say...
Them to be the ones with intention to destroy,
A way of life,
They rush back to enjoy.
While showing themselves,
In pictures smiling and posing...
With the people they claim to dislike.
Yet appearing as if,
Them to be lost yet found close relatives!

'And...
Here we are in Africa.
Beautiful place.
Oh and here we are in Spain.
Isreal, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Then here...
All of us are seen laughing,
In the clothes made for us exclusively...
By a tailor in Japan.
And the food in Jamaica?
Has to be the greatest taste we've had.'

'Sounds terrific.
And...
Your weapons?
When did you use them to feel threatened?'

'Weapons?
For what reason would we need weapons?
To protect ourselves from what?'

'Enemies!'

'Oh...that?
That we do when we are at home.
To protect and prepare,
From the unknown.
One never knows,
In our own neighborhood...
Whose mind next will blow.
And go ballistic.
Because of attention they are not getting.
After being convinced themselves to be,
A video hero.
Or saving a fiction to become deluded by it!'
