My country mile

My Country Mile

As I walk alone in this midnight hour
In the silence
Im not truthfully alone
I have the stars
My friends who guide me
lighting the path along my way

I softly tred this unbeatin earth
marking the way for others who wish to follow
I stop to breath in the crisp night air
my thoughts they comfort me

My heart is joyous and content
There are no worries here
No pain no sorrow
only happy thoughts
as I slowly hum along my way

No dead lines or time limits
tonight it's all my way
The world is filled with so much hate
I just had to get away

Be stilled in the silence
there is so much room to move around
No clutterd sidewalks
or road ways
It's just me and the grass

My country mile leads on and on
I wonder where it goes
alas how ever far it runs
I'll probly never know

Sadly this hour of tranquil surrender
In this moment of peace
Reality bares its ugly face
to which I have to leave

Tonight when I lay my head to rest
I'll think of my counrty mile
of the silent surrender
The moment of peace
and hope my dreams will lead me back
For that is  where I wish to be
Alone in my country mile
