Searching

Riva Bern 2003 (Switzerland)

I looked  up into the stars                                                                         but I found out that they where gone.                                                      I searched for the birds                                                                                                                 but they have already sung they're song.                                                                             I climbed up the mountains                                                                to find myself fall again                                                                                                           and I swam across the deep ocean                                                                                                                             only to find it empty and plain.                                                        I visited the city filled with people                                                             but all my soul wanted to do is hide.                                                                                       I looked for but didn't find him                                                                       yes, he my greatest pride.                                                                                         I felt my world scatter into little pieces                                                                              and my head spin around.                                                             I couldn't hear nor see a sound.                                                                                                                                   Locked inside a cage
and utterly lost inside a maze.                                                       Looking for something to satisfy me                                                                       Looking for something precious to see                                                                                       I know the truth and I have found my purpose.                  From now on I will hold your hand tight                                      even when outside its dark and night.                                       You are my father and king                                                                          and let from now on new life begin

About this poem

I wrote this poem about time when i was very confused. I didn't find peace with myself until I found out my true purpose. life is so much better when one knows that he is actually worth and that he can bring joy into other peoples lives
