Loving

Loving
I will learn to love myself
To take of this skin I show the world
And this tragically beautiful facade I hide behind
And look at the inner me
The one I suppress so much
Because she weird
The ball in a game of squares
The me that I used to love being
The me I now hate to show
Momma once said
“Put yourself on a pedestal and only a true king can help you down”
If I do that will my heart be safe?
I’m afraid of getting it broke again
Like the way he shattered it
I spent so much time putting it back together and making sure all the pieces fit into the right spots
So I choose not to truly love but rather to  ignore myself hearts desire and satisfy the body
Just another guy
Just another day
But deep down In the depth of my heart
I long for a true love
Someone who will teach me
Show me
Love me
Not my facade
But the real me
