Divorce Papers
White paper, the color of the wedding dress on the day you said forever.
The black unused pen, the color of the tux that he wore on the day he said forever.
The color pink, on my cheeks from anger and hurt on the day you hurt me most.
Clear droplets, the color of the morning dew and my tears on the day you hurt me most.
Brown doors, the color of the law office as you enter to end a portion of your life.
Yellow rays, from the window bouncing off of the documents to end a portion of your life.
Red faced, from anger and resentment after the petition has been filed.
Beige folders, holding memories and photos after the petition has been filed.
A speckled past, from trust turned to pain after finally reaching the end.
A brighter horizon, once the pain subsides from finally reaching the end.
