Cloudy Day

I love cloudy days,

I'm in love with clouds;

I love that every time I look up, I get to see a painting of the greatest artist;

A painting that is ever-changing;

It's a beautiful mess;

Ever-changing;

I love clouds.

I love clouds because it reminds me a bit of me;

It reminds me of my mind;

It reminds me of my messy days;

More and more I realize how the clouds and I are alike;

More and more I realize what a beautiful mess I am;

A painting;

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder;

Well every time I look up,

I behold the beauty of the clouds;

And I can not help but think that in that same way,

God looks at me;

A beautiful mess;

His beautiful creation;

I am a painting, a beautiful mess,

Created by the creator of the skies.

The astounding thing about this is, He cleaned me up when I met Him;

He wiped my old stains off;

He made me a clean canvas;

And then He started painting;

He started painting, a beautiful painting;

He painted me;

And He is still painting me;

He preserves my life, like a treasured painting;

And when I don't realize it, He reminds me,

That He beholds the beauty!

He beholds me!

There's purpose in my mess;

There's purpose in this.

About this poem

This poem is about finding purpose in mess, the mess in me. I wrote about cloud to relate to myself, as a mess. And spur up purpose and passion for life within me again, in the mess.

Nicolas Fortuin

I started writing as a form of escape from the world. I find myself mostly writing about nature and God, and in it I have found a home, a safe space. And I desire to create such beautiful fragrances through my writing , that will spur on, and inspire others. more…
