Uncle Sam

I’m living in the shadow
Of the man I used to be
I see my body fading
Like the rain into the sea

Dust to dust and ash to ash
The spirit to the Lord!
He’s making all things new again
According to His word

But will I rise to glory
In the power of His name
Or only to the smell of death
And everlasting shame?
