The beauty of Nature

I look to see Nature, how beautiful is the Creator's mind.
When I'm not allowed to see it my heart seems lost and blind.

The pain in my heart when it is removed and structures put in its place.
Nature seems to be losing and man is winning the race.

Trees are removed, ponds dried up, animals are no more.
But man has his apartment and corporate grocery store.

"Progress! Progress!" They shout
But money is their God.
They live in subdivision homes and water their freshly laid sod.

Eventually it all will be gone
Nothing but asphalt and man's might.
But I will be remembered as one who made nature his delight.

About this poem

This is my heart! Nature is being done away with and it hurts to see this. I love nature and i wanted to express my feelings for the beauty that is fading fast.
