Moment of wait

Allahobhayo Dal 1977 (Karachi)

Moment of wait,

Getting on eager
Morning, noon, likewise night, then dawn time.

She made a promise before the first shine of the sun touches the rose petals,

Dried to dew drops on leaves, sweaty sunny noon,
The sun says farewell words to the mountains,

A moony night with a cluster of stars
Touches the water lily flowers,
birds back to their nests.

The serene voice on the flute becomes silent.
l am your's only your's
but then, she disappeared,

She left me on a long wait
