The school cafeteria

It's loud, crowded, and uncomfortable, and none of my friends can hear me when I speak.
My friends never bother to say anything to me either,
yet all I hear is laughing and talking.
 It is like I'm invisible.
Then suddenly I start to panic.
The school cafeteria gets too loud, my body feels crowded in its skin, and I get too overwhelmed.
my friends start to get too loud as well, I try to ask them to be quieter,
and they say okay and whatever, but they never get quieter, but louder.
I never know what to say or do, so I sit quietly and start counting.
I start counting to try and calm myself down, but it never works.
I still do it because I am told it helps, even if it doesn't.
