Sound Of Solitude

Sound of Solitude

Sound of solitude echoing through the night
are you calling with a broken lonesome heart
or just playing a role in Nature's setting after dark?
Fall is coming soon and with it will vanish the sound of the loon
The only cry that shall remain is the one that runs within my veins
Maybe it was calling my name, maybe baby, maybe
The last refrain is a tune echoing in my brain
A loony tune echoing in vain
An echo within my heart
How can it ever be tamed
When we are so far apart
Lost in the wilderness
Wandering through the dark
Sound of solitude echoing through the night
are you calling with a broken lonesome heart
or just playing a role in nature's setting after dark ?
