THE CONSCIOUS ROCK

Heavy and alone I sit.
One of many,
None the same.

I have no eyes to see,
Nor ears to hear,
Yet I feel.

From the gentle breeze that caresses my rigid body,
To the gusts that bow the neighboured grass to tickle my cheeks…I feel.

From the warmth of the golden sun,
that satiates me and keeps home in me on the cool nights…I feel.

From the pitter-patter of tickling rain,
To the deluge that carries off my pebbled friends
…I feel.

From the tremors of my host that massage my Sole,
To the kick of a human at play…I feel.

How do you feel?
