Reflection
Jason Marriner 1980 (Pensacola)
Like memories from the past, I can't leave you behind
I close my eyes and there you are, forever on my mind
Its been so long since I've seen you, I long to hear your voice
Nothing I can say, nothing I can do, except live with our choice
I can't escape the decisions or the regret of our past
Everyday I ask myself how things fell apart so fast
What happened to the good times and all the fun we had
Where did I screw up, how did things get so bad
How did we go from always holding hands to drawing lines the sand
Being in the same room together but feeling miles apart inside
We should've talked and worked it out, but we never really tried
So here I am, secretly just another broken man, living with regret
Dying, being killed from within, by decisions I can't forget.....
