The Magnolia Tree

We had a magnolia tree
in our garden.
In the dense
white flowers were laden

Early in the morning
I made the adventure.
If I could find
rare treasure!

I found few
in the lap of leaves
as if blooming flowers
were hidden inside caskets.

Still when I get
that familiar fragrance,
I enjoy my childhood fancies
In my reminiscence.

But when I stand
under a magnolia tree,
many lost memories
it whispers me.
