A Day In The Park

Bamil Gutierrez 1969 (Puerto Rico)

A Day In The Park

Walking down the alley of life
feeling all the essence i could receive
the fragrance of the leaves slapping over gently
my face when falling from the trees.

I keep walking with no rush along the verge
admiring all the beauty that God has made
it's sunny, it's cloudy, it's blue
the sky is on its prime for a wonderful day.

The pallet diverging colors
like a rainbow in the sun
pumping nature pure the green is
the master of the spring turning to hope.

I sat down in the bench listening clearly the birds
the crazy flying of the butterflies
the picking timing of the hummingbird
and the sun rising on my face.

After a beautiful day of lovely pictures
flashing in my eyes like an hourglass lost in time
now that i saw what some hours god could draw
you can imagine what he can fix in a whole life.

About this poem
