Voices

Angela Harvick 1969 (United States)

June 22

The voices in my head
Are telling me what to
I try not to listen
But they just get stronger
The Doc gives me meds
To make them go away
But to no avail,
I think they're here to stay
My mind goes in circles,
Lost and confused
Keeping up with all the thoughts
Is making my mind race
The anxiety keeps building
And speeds up my heart
But then I stop
Draw a maze,
And settle down the rhythm

About this poem
