The Untitled Wind

Rewind the wind.
Send it back to where it came from.
Rewrap it around the mountain
Regift it
Back to the woods.


Let it pass back
Through the windows
In the meadows
And let the tide
Take it back
To those tiny islands
Of virgin breath.

Let it unfly
Beneath the bird’s wing
And unfold
Into the sky

And finally pass
Back through God’s mouth
And return into his lungs
To fill me once again
To whisper your name so perfectly
That angels in your heart
Take flight
With ruffled feathers
Of winded moments.
