The Tigers

I've lost so many
I have loved
Like lights that burn out to quickly
Like the leaves that fall before opening
Like tales that go on in circles
The rocks that sit alone waiting

Those branches I see reaching to the sky
Searching for the essence  of life
But drill deep also into the earth
Grasping at the essence of life

Breaking anyway
While I listen to the animals scream

About this poem

It recalls the pain of lost.
