The Bright Side

It’s hard to see life when your looking through mud, while you’re  digging your path through the slim and the sludge,
Hoping to find what’s probably not there, grinding your way where no other would dare,
But here you are pushing and shoving, looking as though you were baked in an oven,
Deeper and deeper you bury yourself, as you strive to climb to the very next shelf,
How many people have gotten in your way, how many hearts have you broken today. ,
Fighting your way to success without fear, causing the fall of how many tears,
The light at the end is so far away, and now your looking very much afraid,
Where are your friends when you get to the top,  when your standing alone in your favorite spot,
Gone are the years you’ll never get back, gone is the innocence of youth looking back,
Never again will you see vigor and vim, and the light in the tunnel has now grown dim,
Wrinkled and gray your pace now is slow, you face one more day where your hearing is low,
Using a cane to get you around, and as for your money it’s no where to be found,
But there’s always a bright side of life for us all, a world with no fear where no one will fall,
No tilling for nothing no toiling with sweat, no money is needed and no one will fret,
No hearts will be broken no feelings will hurt, no tears will be falling that no one deserves,
Each day you awaken you’re  feeling brand new, and the light will get brighter before each day is through…
