Thanksgiving Killer

I sat among my most familiar people,
feeling like a burden. I was
a stranger to the person
they had created. I was
a stranger to the situations
around me. I was
shoveling mashed potatoes
into my mouth, like I
was digging my own
shallow grave. Each hand
motion accompanied with
an attempt to pull
my sleeve. watching their
eyes tremble with expectation
of what torturing device id use next
only my eyes and arms knew
the device sat covered in blood
with a tag written only for me.
