RIP AMERICAN DREAM

Betty Reed 1970 (NY)

As we get older and sit back in thought I can’t help but think of all the wars we fought For freedom? FAIRNESS? Maybe should have fought harder I guess we expect the US government to be a little smarter WORLD WAR 1 and WORLD WAR 2 Even the Vietnam War SENT boys to die, what did we do it all for? For freedom, for fairness, for the American dream? That’s ridiculous when we have hungry and homeless, it seems Priorities have shifted, the rich stay rich, While most of us, can eat/pay rent, it’s up to us which GOD HELP AMERICA THE STRUGGLE IS REAL HEAR US NOW, WHAT IS THE DEAL? Please ease our burden Don’t let the American dream die, BTW, We expect a prompt reply The homeless population is getting large Eviction and inflation on supercharge You think it’s big now, just you wait, It’s going to get much larger, when the dam finally breaks
