My biggest loss

we didn't have closure we didn't say goodbye

it was painful for me to see you die

I screamed I wished it was a lie

but it's the ugly truth that hunts me every time

to help myself heal I write words that rhythm

I saw him coming closer to doing  his crime

I tried to warn you I called your number

you were busy collecting your clothes and couldn't answer

my heartbeats were rising

toward the door, he was pacing

I knocked on the door

they kept it closed

I saw you knocked on the floor

my heart sinks

in sadness my eyes dunked

I called the cops

they put him in handcuffs

you were covered in blood

I was speechless and couldn't say a word

we took you to the hospital

you survived they said it was a miracle

I hugged you and kissed you baby it was magical

they advised you to stay overnight

but you left no matter how much we tried

to tell you it's a bad choice to go home

but it was useless and I couldn't  stay calm

I got mad at you we argued I admit

I know it wasn't the best

I regret the things I had  said

before you left

you called me a hero you said I saved you

then why do I feel like I ended you

we were happy he is in jail

it was a life sentence and no bail

thought that mean we live happily ever after

only for all this to turn into a disaster

I am an atheist so prayers get no answer

and I got a call you died

it was at midnight

after we had a fight

you were brain dead

that was the worst pain I felt

I don't know how worse this can get

they said life gets better

but it gets bitter

pain, regrets, heart shatter

forgive me Hannah you are the only one that matter
