Mental Metamorphosis

Mental metamorphosis

Our minds: but vessels in cocoons

Your eyes: crescent moons...

I swoon for you

For me, your heart beats a familiar tune

 Let’s take our time ...

I prefer later than soon

Can I remain dormant
in your coordinates ?

Im not possessive,
you’re just mine to keep.

restless…

you make me feel awake
while I’m asleep

Hesitation ran deep
Yet I was inclined..
To move forward, fast
No time to rewind

again I submitted to you, without forcefulness

May I become proportionate. . .
to your mental orifice?

Content with consent

 Accepting all parts of you,
 every incriment…
every crease & bend
any broken piece , I’ll need to mend.

About this poem

I believe the mind is ever changing, evolving & adapting. I have found myself accustoming to someone else’s surroundings, not for my own growth but to attempt to to help them evolve. Being selfless can sometimes lead to an unhealthy approach. You cannot free a butterfly, while you’re still in a cocoon.

Janisa Cisneros

Im 28, born & raised in Orange county but my heart does not beat for the city life. Im not interested in being interesting, but fortunately for you … I am. I am a poet with self doubt & here I am working on that increment of myself. This is allowing me to be vulnerable. After-all, Feelings & writing are meant to be shared, just don’t get greedy. more…
