Isabella
Little girl you have no idea how much I think of you.
I just hope your foster family will love you just as much as I do.
I hate that I missed it the first time you talked,
And the first time you got up and decided to walk.
There are so many firsts that I will never get to see , my only hope is that when grow older that you will decide to come and find me.
I still remember the last time I seen your adorable face, you looked like the cutest little baby in the entire human race.
It broke my heart the day I saw them take you away, I still feel that agonizing pain to this very day but babygirl I broke the law so I had to pay.
But prison saved my life because you daddy was very sick and I had a really bad habit that I needed to kick
Sweetie if I could take back all those years I missed I would
But even without me I know you will grow up to be special and do something good
When your older I will be there for you no matter what
If your boyfriend is mean to you I will be sure to kick his little butt!
When I think of the next time I see you I know it will be a while
I just hope one day that I'm the one who walks you down the aisle
About this poem
It's about my little girl whom I lost all rights over due to my addiction struggles almost a decade ago she was only five months old I wrote it one day during my six year prison sentence I have no clue where she is or if she is even safe it breaks my heart each and every day.... Also I've never written before or after this time I wrote around twenty poems in total and I honestly believe they helped get my out and helped keep same during the darkest of times in my life
