Isabella

Little girl you have no idea how much I think of you.
I just hope your foster family will love you just as much as I do.
I hate that I missed it the first time you talked,
And the first time you got up and decided to walk.
There are so many firsts that I will never get to see , my only hope is that when grow older that you will decide to come and find me.
I still remember the last time I seen your adorable face, you looked like the cutest little baby in the entire human race.
It broke my heart the day I saw them take you away, I still feel that agonizing pain to this very day but babygirl I broke the law so I had to pay.
But prison saved my life because you daddy was very sick and I had a really bad habit that I needed to kick
Sweetie if I could take back all those years I missed I would
But even without me I know you will grow up to be special and do something good
When your older I will be there for you no matter what
If your boyfriend is mean to you I will be sure to kick his little butt!
When I think of the next time I see you I know it will be a while
I just hope one day that I'm the one who walks you down the aisle

About this poem

It's about my little girl whom I lost all rights over due to my addiction struggles almost a decade ago she was only five months old I wrote it one day during my six year prison sentence I have no clue where she is or if she is even safe it breaks my heart each and every day.... Also I've never written before or after this time I wrote around twenty poems in total and I honestly believe they helped get my out and helped keep same during the darkest of times in my life

Isabella hutchinson

I'm 34 year old man from Athens ohio who grew up in a house of poverty and struggle. My situation and poor choice of friends and significant others led to me becoming an addict which eventually led to me losing my babygirl. I served six years in prison which was a very humbling and enlighening experience. My time there was spent reflecting on life and all of the time I wasted and all the bad decisions made. I got sober and got an education. I'm one of four children all half siblings. I also have a 14 year old son whom I fortunately get to see still more…
