Songs of the free

Whiles the oppressor sips his cup of tea
I hear the songs of the free
and I tried to understand what it is and what is to be
but one thing I have seen about the oppressor is that
if you don't worship his God
then you are evil
if you don't dress or eat their kind of food
and practice their culture
then you are archaic or barbaric
if you don't practice their governmental or political system
then you are a traitor
if you resist them
then you are a dictator
and therefore an enemy
but no matter how life treats us
one will always strive to survive
to be what is percev to be his destiny
