In the mind of a legend

J.D. Estates 1980 (Arkansas)

A legend in his own right,
Speaking his mind whether it's day or night,
Do I care about how you all feel,
No and I'm just keeping it real,
Everyday is a new mission,
Losing people is my newest addiction,
If you can't try to know me,
You might as well just leave,
I am at the end of my rope,
Writing poetry is how I can cope,
Letting my thoughts out on my page,
Instead of leaving them locked in a cage,
As much as I try to run,
I will forever be my father's son,
I feel like I'm a different breed,
Working hard for what I want to achieve,
If it means that I got to go to war,
Then getting respect is worth fighting for,
While you all steady bringing me down,
I'm steady watching while making no sound,
Money and greed is gonna be the true downfall,
God not a judge will make that call,
Keep up with all the lies you speak,
Just be ready to feel the heat.
