International Women's Day

Not a present satisfies my greed.
You say I seek more than I need,
Since I didn't create this sphere of society,
How can I have any authority?

I must do all the work,
Kill all of my torque,
All so you can live like a prince,
On an island built of sins.

Where were you?
When my world shattered,
You couldn't be bothered less,
You'd watch me pick up the pieces.

The day my pockets are deep,
Your attention takes a leap.
Only a materialistic bond,
Yet, I must be content and fond.
